From the Duck Blinds to Legislators We’re Staying Busy

Some of our most passionate Vanishing Paradise supporters took time out of their busy schedules to participate in meetings with Louisiana legislators across the state.

Our team spends plenty of time on boats and in duck blinds sharing the importance of restoring the Gulf Coast and Mississippi River Delta with anyone who will join us and listen! We also take our message straight to decision-makers. Over the past few months, we’ve been busy holding meetings with Louisiana legislators from across the state, building off of the momentum from the annual Coastal Day at the Louisiana state capitol in April.

Some of our passionate Vanishing Paradise supporters participated in seven meetings with state legislators spanning from Lafayette to Plaquemines Parish. These meetings focused on sharing support for the restoration and protection projects in the 2017 Coastal Master Plan from the sportsmen perspective.

Thanks to Mike Benge, Chef Nathan Richard and our Sporting Council members Marissa Turner, Ryan Lambert, Burton Angelle and Albertine Kimble for taking time from their busy schedules to share their voices and support for large-scale habitat restoration. We are so grateful for our supporters – sharing your voice is critical to the future of our coast and it makes a difference.
